This Privacy Policy explains how DetoxBar Medellín (“DetoxBar”, “we”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information about you when you visit this website or use our services in Medellín, Colombia.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to schedule and deliver your IV session safely.
- When you contact us (WhatsApp, email, Instagram): your name and the contents of your message.
- When you book a session via Cal.com: name, email, optional phone, and the time slot you select. Cal.com processes this booking on our behalf — see Cal.com’s privacy policy.
- At your appointment, in person: relevant medical history you disclose verbally (allergies, current medications, pregnancy, conditions). This is used to choose a safe therapy and is kept in a private clinical note in your file.
- When you browse this site: anonymous usage statistics via Vercel Analytics (no cookies, no personal identifiers). Your language preference is stored in your browser’s localStorage to remember your choice between visits.
3. How we use your information
- To confirm, schedule, reschedule, or remind you of appointments.
- To recommend and safely administer the right therapy.
- To respond to your questions.
- To keep a basic clinical record as required by health-practice standards.
- To improve our website (in aggregate, non-identifying form).
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell or rent your information. We use a small number of service providers who process your data on our behalf:
- Cal.com — appointment booking.
- WhatsApp / Meta — when you chat with us via WhatsApp Business.
- Google Maps — embedded map of our location (Google receives your IP when the map loads).
- Vercel — website hosting, anonymous analytics, and performance monitoring.
- Email provider (Gmail) — when you email us.
5. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set tracking cookies. It uses one localStorage entry (db_lang) to remember your preferred language, and db_wa_name to pre-fill your name in the WhatsApp prompt. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
6. Data retention
Booking and clinical records are kept only as long as needed to provide care and meet Colombian health-records obligations. WhatsApp and email conversations are kept while the conversation is active and deleted on request.
7. Your rights
Under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (Habeas Data) and similar regulations elsewhere, you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw any consent. Email detoxbarmedellin@gmail.comto exercise any of these rights — we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we do not store credit-card data, and clinical notes are not transmitted over this website.
9. Children
DetoxBar’s services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 through this website.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
